b. 1991, California

A mixed media artist reworking Andy Warhol’s iconic Marilyn image, Johnston’s work explores repetition and transformation. Through restrained, layered compositions, he traces subtle shifts in perception, where the familiar dissolves into something quieter. His practice merges Pop Art’s legacy with abstraction, inviting viewers to reconsider iteration, memory, and visual resonance.

Made in the artist’s California studio.
